Anxo Licenses BPH Drug to Korean Partner

Anxo Pharmaceutical Co. ("Anxo," stock code: 6677), a specialized drug delivery technology developer,  announced today (the 16th) that it has formally signed an exclusive drug licensing agreement with YS Life Science ("YS"),  a global Korean company that built its foundation in high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) synthesis technology before expanding into drug formulation.Under the agreement, Anxo grants YS exclusive rights to develop and market, in Korea, its sustained-release orodispersible tablet for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) voiding dysfunction.

The drug involved in this collaboration is a prescri​ption  drug already marketed by Anxo in Taiwan.The product employs specialized sustained-release technology to maintain stable blood drug concentrations with only once-daily dosing, while its orodispersible tablet design significantly improves medication adherence for patients with swallowing difficulties and reduces the impact of cardiovascular side effects, combining clinical value with market competitiveness. The overall market for drugs with the same active ingredient in Korea is currently worth approximately US$100 million;however, the technically demanding orodispersible tablet format is dominated by the original brand-name product, which holds a market share of up to 30%. The cross-border partnership between Anxo and YS, combining the strengths of both companies, will further capture a share of this market opportunity.
